James Maslow came up the way most people dream about and very few survive — simultaneous. The band was real, the TV show was real, and the fans who turned up for both were real enough to sustain something that should have collapsed under its own weight the moment the cameras stopped rolling. Big Time Rush was never supposed to outlast the Nickelodeon Friday lineup. It did.
